Hi there, and welcome to the Texas Hill Country.
I'm Dave...let me be your tour guide as we explore the beauty that is the Hill Country, from Austin to Boerne and beyond; state parks and spots on the side of the road; those places frequented by tourists to little-known spots seen by few.
Being a native of the Coastal Prairie, and having lived my first twenty years on the flatlands, I found myself in a whole 'nother world once I moved to Austin back in '03. And having either lived in or visited every part of Texas there is, from the Caprock country of the Panhandle the the Rio Grande Valley, the Piney Woods of East Texas to the Chihuahuan Desert of West Texas, there is truly no other place as beautiful as this.
Somewhere along the Greenbelt

One of my favorite pastimes is grabbing my camera, hopping in my car, and hitting the road to...no place in particular. Wherever I wind up is where I go. And there are plenty of roads in the Hill Country worth exploring. It's been hard lately, what with the severe lack of rain, finding smaller creeks full of anything other than rocks. Even the rivers, such as the Pedernales, are no more than knee-deep in places. Barton Creek in Austin has pretty much been dry since September of 2007. Except for one place that I know of, anyway. And it's not the pool. But I digress...
This is an on-going work, and currently under construction, so bear with the mess. In the meantime, grab a seat and a cup of coffee, and settle back for a trip into the Texas Hill Country.
